Ben Summers

Benjamin Summers was born and raised in Federal Way, Washington. He would earn his Bachelor’s Degree in Law and Policy from the University of Washington Tacoma and go on to attend the University of Washington School of Law. As an undergraduate, Benjamin interned with the Unemployment Law Project as well as volunteering with elementary school students. While attending law school, Benjamin interned with the City of Everett Prosecutor’s Office and worked with UW’s Civil Rights and Justice Clinic. 

Benjamin was admitted to the Washington State Bar in September 2023. He would first practice as an attorney with TacomaProBono Community Lawyers. In this position, he defended the rights of tenants and gained considerable experience in negotiation and courtroom litigation. He then went on to work with ARK Law, where he would represent adults and juveniles in the criminal justice system. Throughout this time, Benjamin has gained an appreciation for public service and the necessity of providing clients with empathetic representation catered to their unique needs and circumstances. 

Outside of the law, Benjamin is an avid painter and fan of the Seattle Mariners. He enjoys spending time with his family and his cats Bert and Ernie.
